Tungsten with a lead-glass window
Tungsten syringe shields for PET radiopharmaceuticals.
The shields reduce the radiation exposure of the hands when a syringe with a radioactive solution is handled and make the administration of the dose safe and simple.
They fit the Automatic Dispensing Units PT317R7 and PT459R5 and the Administering Unit Lyza PT353R9.
Design
- Shielding body – cylindrical tungsten sleeve, 8–11 mm W depending on the type
- Viewing window – lead glass along the syringe
- Locking screw – holds the syringe in the shield
- Colour band – identifies the syringe volume
