Validation of an automated dispensing system for subsequent dose dispensing of different radionuclides

Performance qualification of the Lynax automated dispensing unit PT459R2 at the Netherlands Cancer Institute – Antoni van Leeuwenhoek in Amsterdam, according to GMP and GRPP guidelines. The unit dispensed accurate doses of ¹⁷⁷Lu, ⁸⁹Zr, ⁶⁸Ga and ¹⁸F (maximum bias 2.35 %) and dispensed aseptically in a GMP class A environment. The approach can serve as a guide for qualifying such a system in a radiopharmacy.

A multiradionuclide automatic dispensing system for syringes of radiopharmaceuticals: the effect on operator hand dose

Hand doses of twelve laboratory technicians measured with ring dosimeters over 13 months – seven months of manual dispensing and six months with the Lynax automatic dispensing unit PT459R2. Corrected for the higher activity handled, the hand dose of the personnel decreased by 69 %.
