For safe needle handling
The device serves to clamp a syringe needle head. Its purpose is to reduce the risk of exposure and contamination of employees handling radioactive solutions. It allows maintaining aseptic work conditions.
The device provides a safe and simple method of sterile syringe needle handling. It makes it easy to remove the needle from the sheath and insert it into the vial rubber stopper, as well as to pull the needle out of the rubber stopper and discard it in the trash. It allows grasping the needle reliably when connecting it to and disconnecting it from a syringe containing a radioactive solution.
Main components of the device
The clamp consists of two handles with locking teeth, with a smooth-surfaced slot for the syringe needle head close to the pivot axis.
